joyce was my lovely sister there were eight of us in our family i was the eldest then along came my sister joyce i was four years old when joyce was born and i adored her from the word GO we had four brothers peter paul edward and brian and two more sisters brenda and debra who was the youngest we ended up living in bidston a place in birkenhead we grew up right by a lovely place called bidston hill and the severn styles then it was a country a lovely place joyce went on to become a nanny in an orphange for children from birth up to 3 years old and she loved working there joyce loved children she was so very kind and quiet and wouldnt harm any one she had brown eyes and light brown hair she always said was mousey she was only five foot three and slim built i loved her joyce had a pet mouse that i was afraid of we shared a bedroom right up untill i got married i would go to the orphanage and visit joyce as she ended up living in as she worked days and night shifts then joyce told me she was going to london to find work as a nanny so she left birkenhead with a friend to work as a nanny as time went on joyce found work and not long after a boyfriend who joyce lived with for twenty years she had two children nicky and lurleen who got called bubby joyce always worked and a close friend of hers had a baby aswell as trying to run har public house so joyce became a child minder to paulines daughter amber joyce adored amber like as if it was her own daughter joyce would take amber on holidays and we all got to know amber every time joyce came home she would bring amber to amber was 8 years old when she took ill with meningitis and sadly died joyce was devastated and couldnt get over her tragic death and to help her sleep would take a drink as time went on joyce became an alcoholic and over the years lost her partner of twenty years we tryed to help her we tryed to get her into a re hab but joyce found it hard to give up the one thing that could deaden the pain of looseing amber joyce had been living on her own for a couple of years and met up with a man she called her boyfriend by this time joyce was off work long term this so called boyfriend started to hit joyce one night he hit her to hard she was in his house he coulnt wake her up so he got a friend to caary her home and they took her to bed and left her there untill her friend called two days later and found her in bed awake but with injuries joyce was taken to hospital when i recieved the call i went to london right away three days later joyce died my heart was broken i had lost my best sister the man that did this to joyce was arrested but he said she had fallen down 5 stairs at his house and he took her home the police knew he was covering up but didnt have enough evidence to charge him with her murder it was left open on file pending further evidence HOW SAD IS THAT joyce had a massive funral with hundreds of people who attended i bought her a huge flower tribute which read YOU WILL NEVER WALK ALONE joyce loved that sond she always said when she heard it she would think of home back here joyce left me a letter she had written while she lay in her bed with her injuries it wasnt found untill after she had died i will treasure that letter untill the day that i die and then it will come with me inside my coffin I LOVE YOU JOYCE YOU WERE A TRUE LADY UP THERE IN THAT SPECIAL PLACE WERE ONLY THE CHOSEN ONE GO GOD BLESS YOU MY DEAR SISTER X X X X SLEEP NOW X

A rose once grew
Where all could see

Angel Of Comfort
When each day brings only sadness
and your heart is filled with pain
you will find it so hard to believe
that you'll ever smile again
but when your crying deep inside
an angel always hears and will be there
to comfort you and wipe away your tears
there are wings of love around you
and you can depend upon your angel
who will give you hope
and the strength to carry on
memories
Joyce you will always be missed. Very sad that you departed from us so soon. The chain had begun when we lost you so much loss. Very deep wounds are with this family. Tears and sadness lingers on.
